Dr Kamal for trial of Ramu rioters

Gano Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain on Sunday demanded that the Ramu rioters be identified and tried
irrespective of their political affiliation.
"Identify and try those involved in the attacks on the Buddhists and their worship places in Ramu," he asked the government. The Gano Forum chief was talking to reporters at Sima Bihar which was destroyed during the September 29 sectarian violence.
Terming very bad and regretful the Ramu violence, he said the damage caused to the Buddhist community is irreparable. "We should all apologise to them."
The Gano Forum president visited Haitupi, Merunloa and Mitachhari villages where dwelling houses and worship places of the Buddhists were destroyed during the midnight mayhem. Central leaders of the party accompanied Dr Kamal during the visit.
